Join MOA
The Minneapolis Officials Association (MOA) is always looking for new members. While becoming an MOA member is not a complicated process, it does take time, and there are a number of things you need to do.

First step is to fill out and application to join MOA. Fill in as much information as possible. Once your submission is received, someone from MOA will respond via email usually within a few days. Here is a link to the application.

You will also need to pay your dues for MOA before the start of your season. All first year officials with MOA, other then transfers with varsity experience can join at the reduced rate of $30 for the first year.

Your next step after registering with MOA and paying your dues is to register with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL). This can take a few days, as there are a number of steps that need to be completed. Click this link for more information on the process. You can also watch this YouTube Video. Also, keep in mind that registration for each sport closes about a week before the start of the season.

When you are ready to register, click this link for new officials. Returning officials can click this link and Login (upper right corner). You may need to change your password if you have logged into your Arbiter account in a few months. Finally, the Arbiter Support line is 800-311-4060 - they can assist with login issues.

Hopefully you have completed all the applications and paid your dues at least a few weeks prior to your sports pre-season meeting. The sports pre-season meeting is usually 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the season. At this meeting, you'll be appointed a mentor, learn how to use Arbiter (web based scheduling), and learn about the basics of being an official.

Along the way, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us via email. We're ready to help you succeed at being the best official you can be!
